University of Karachi was established in 1945 for the provision of education of the higher level to the residents of Karachi and Sindh province. According to Higher Education Commission, Karachi University is considered in top ten universities of the country. Karachi University is the oldest university of Pakistan, which was established two years before freedom of Pakistan. It has huge number of faculties like arts, Education, engineering, law, Islamic studies, management, medicine, pharmacy and sciences and there are various departments in each faculty.

It has various research institutes and centers in which higher education is being given to the students and they can complete their research work in the highly professional and educational atmosphere. Huge number of students gets admission in Karachi University every year in different fields and completes their education and they can also do the research work in their fields. University of Karachi is the member of the Common Wealth University of United Nations. This university was declared in the top 500 universities of the world in the QS World University Rankings.
